If God was sitting and playing Gotcha ( LOL), why send Jesus?

If love is the greatest of expressions, how can God, that is greater than all esle, NOT be love ?

Does it trouble you that a topic as important as the possibility of eternal torment is not understood by most?

It bothers me that it turns people away, yes. Because most of us don't understand, or have imposed our own thoughts of what hell or separation from God entails - and its probably not what He thinks.

Take for example when Jesus said that the kingdom of the God was taken away from the jews (or most of them) and given to a people who would produce its fruit. People talk about when Rome took Jerusalem as the terrible thing that happened, never to be equaled again... I think it was the former, the loss of the kingdom of God. The spiritual loss - which loss absolutely can be felt.

God's ways are higher than our ways. He does not come up with depraved and demented modes of punishments. That's what we do with all our torture devices and such. So while I may not understand what exactly hell means, I do trust that He is going to do what is right, and it won't have anything to do with the horrific things that we think up.

But which Jesus Eastern Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical, Unitarian, JW, Coptic etc etc they are all DIFFERENT and none of them look anything like a first century Itinerant Jewish Rabbi. All of you Jesus followers, look at pictures of 'Jesus' from your religious affiliations and ask yourself the tough questions.

But you throw yourself emotionally into a concept of some person who is the gate-keeper to Hell. Nice guy? Not really. Fiction?

Ah, well, that is a very good question isn't it?

Nope, I don;t think so because Jesus said that "blasphemying against the HS" is what wil cost you your soul.

Why?

Because we can deny Christ because we hane never TRULY known him, like many Jw's and all the Jews and so forth, they have been told a VERSION of Christ that they have choosen not to believe in and that is their choice.

But those that HAVE seen the TRUE Christ and to see that one must have the HS, and then to DENY Christ is to deny the HS in us and that is a totally different story.

PSac- Everyone has been told a version of Jesus, your version is different from tec's and DD's and Stepehen's and Perry's and on it goes, that's one of the main issues here.
