My list could almost completely be JWinSF's!
But another thing I always hated was when our PO used "jest" when he meant to say "gist". That bugged me no end!
jest -- a joke or joking remark (most WT articles in general, in retrospect )
gist -- the main point or idea of a story, speech, magazine article, Law Code, WT study, Public Talk, Ministry School Presentation, etc.
My kids always hated that "persons" instead of "people" usage, too!
