Look, I know that itis easy to put the blame of Satan for everything, saying he is the source of evil but last time I checked, he never FORCED anyone to do anything and when confronted, he flees ( at least according to James).
I know it is easy to blame God because it was written ( by man) that God ordered Man ( they guys writting) to kill the enemies ( of the guys writing) and rape the women ( of the enemies) and take the nice ones as slaves (the women of the enemy) and so forth, and I know that it is far easier to believe in a tyranical God (something to blame) than a God of Love (means the crap we do is our fault), I know, I get it.
I just don't by it, why?
Because I am NOT perfect and I can be a huge SOB if I allow myself to be, YET I KNOW right from wrong, I KNOW it when I do it and I knwo it when I see it done to/by others, and if I, a lowly person KNOW this, then God must know it too and IF God is a superiour being then God must be superiourly moral as well and as such, I h ave a choice to make:
Do I disregard the morally corrupt God of thr OT and follow the God of the NT and pretend the OT God doesn't exist? or do I accept that the warnings of the prophets and Jesus about the scribes playing "loose and free" with the word of God means something?

At any rate, some other instances of OT god killing man include sending snakes, bears, and/or lions, etc... causing earth to open up and swallow people... dropping the walls of the Red Sea on the Egyptians... etc, etc... I don't have the patience to go back through the whole OT to pull more accounts, though there are plenty.

The point being made here is that god, according to the OT, had no problem slaughtering human enemies directly. So why didn't he just kill off Satan?

And it is a valid point.
Mine is that I don't think God slaughterd any innocent people and no, this is not a "They were evil they deserved it" view, I am just saying that, ok, here is a view using one of your own examples, the egyptians and the Red sea, IF it happened that way, they saw the Red sea, PARTED by a supernaturla being. Now, I don't know about YOU but that would be a pretty good sign for me NOT to go in there, yes?

According to the OT God warns, and he WARNS and HE WARNS and he shows proof of his power and yet, well people don't care and then they pay the price and who's fault is that?
