    What's wrong with assertive tone?

Yeah, Sab, I chose the wrong word. One of my comments was more dogmatic in tone than I intended.

Ah, yes. Dogmatism is never a good thing, imo.

Oh, absolutely. If that premise were true, then you'd have to assume that we CANNOT judge anything god does as morally deficient. But that's why I added the question about false presuppositions leading to false dichotomies.

Remove the premise and start from scratch without bias, though, and you'll get a whole different perspective

I don't think it is possible to have no bias or to look at anything without bias, but we shoudl be aware what our biasis are.

Wanted to comment on one thing though, we do NOT judge God when we analyis the OT or NT, we "judge" the WRITERS and what THEY WROTE to make sure that it was indeed the word of God and not the word of man and we do this, just like all the others before us.

Debating biblical passages is nothing new.

I just want to make it clear that when some people critique others for doing this by saying they are judging God that we/thay are doing no such thing, we are trying to reconcile the NT with the OT and to do that we must be aware that there are and will be condtridictions in what is said, advocate and what is proclaimed to be the "word of God" because all those things were, inspired or not, still written down and passed on by Man.

Identifying bias is a necessary first step but it is by no means the last.

Suppose you were wrongly charged with a homicide and during the jury selection process you discovered that several potential members were people who knew you and despised you for some unknown reason. What good would it do if the judge acknowledged their prior relationship to you but did nothing to remove them from the pool? Worse yet, what if they were selected as jurors? Simply being aware of the bias would not help the court reach a fair verdict.

Are you guys bashing God again? I am gonna get mad and offended. You can call Satan anything you want but leave God alone.

See we can explain anything you dont understand in the bible with two simple statements :

1.) Pray to get more faith

2.) Dont worry about anything it is Gods business.

See its that simple. We can use any kind of explanantion and logic to explain why Satan, and God do what they do and did what they did. But if you try to use logic to debunk the bible then I wont hear it. You have to read both sides. Ok? Get it?

    Ok God bless you.

this is one I do not understand, angels come down and rape women or married

the women. They have big babies and cause all kind of problems. The angels

are super men. what does God do. He kill off mankind, he blame man because

he could not fight off the devil and his friends.
