Nor do I. I know people that have had their lives changed by NDEs, and I am in no position to say their experiences are false.

How do you falsify an NDE, LT? I'm sure some people may be prone to lie and want to garner attention and claim to have had an NDE or OBE, but there are those (like my mother) who are not.
Then, of course, there are those who HAVE to assign some kind of "scientific" explanation (because a spiritual experience is incomprehensible to them) and have come up with various medical "reasons" to explain such experiences. This eases their cognitive dissonance which can, of course, be very uncomfortable.
Even some prominent atheists have had NDEs or OBEs that caused them to do a 180.
I have seen some of Fox News on satelite in the U K, although it is not generally known here... I have seen enough to confirm its reputation for, how shall I put it? - a lack of objectivity.....
The sad thing is that they are trying to buy themselves further into our News Media.....This "story" would never see the light of day over here.
Don't you know it's just the demons trying to get people to believe in an immortal soul? Because you know, Jehovah is going to permanently destroy anyone who dares to believe that pesky talking snake.

I suppose some things aren't scientifically falsifiable, yet can nonetheless be true.
Maybe some things just are, despite the fact that they defy any attempts at human rationalization or systematic explanation.
We do, after all, have limits to our conscious cognition. I don't expect my dog to be able to understand nuclear physics, or a person afflicted with Down's syndrome to elaborate on differential calculus.

No offense taken - the Megyn comment was meant in jest. Many people are certainly going to believe this kind of thing no matter what -
I just sort of feel this is a little strange being promoted for a 4 year old boy.

For one thing, there are so many different versions of what the minority of people that claim to see something see. People see all kinds of different things. Shouldn't the truth about that be pretty consistent? Why would we have an entire Bible that doesn't mention anything like this and then expect that a 4 yr old boy gives us revelation concerning heaven?
