    i think its viewer payback

usa has palin, while we have anne widdicombe and wagner (strictly/xfactor), no matter how bad they are they get the votes that keep them in.

    plus he's really good.

He is good. But not as good as Brandy or Jennifer Grey. His freestyle wasn't as good as it could have been. That'll hurt him. Jennifer Grey's was pretty amazing considering her neck and hip issues. He gets better each week, but he's just a tad behind Brandy and Jennifer. He's definitely better than Palin.

But it's all moot anyway. Bristol Palin is going to win...and thus end the reign of Dancing with the Stars as the number one show on TV.

And while we're bitching about it...let's lay some of the blame on those kiss-ass judges. For several seasons Len Goodman didn't pussyfoot around. He'd lay it all out and call it bad if it needed to be. But with Palin he's taking the sting out of his criticisms. And the other two give her equal scores to others who were obviously better. If you want to praise her for getting better, which she has gotten better - just not as good, then give her 7s or 8s, not 9s, the same as everyone else.

I'm getting all pissed off again. Thanks Simon... LOL

Arguably, Michael Faraday was greater than his mentor, Sir Humphrey Davy.

    Now, now, JWoods.

Let us remember Newton's "shoulders of giants" comment.

In that case, Bristol will have done more good for American TV than the programming executive who took an axe to "The Love Boat" or "Little House on the Prairie".

OK, Sylvia - but remember I said "arguably"...Davy did, after all, discover elements Sodium and Potassium and invented the miner's safety lamp...

    - just not the electromagnetic theory.

As a side point, I think it is good that she gets it out of her system now, as she looks to me as if she will soon be far too fat to attempt this.

LOL, I guess the old reasoning about if you wish to see what you're future bride will look like twenty years from now, look at her mother, doesn't apply to Bristol and Sarah. You would think with all that dancing she'd be burning some calories, I guess not.

By the way James, as a man I like DWTS, some beautiful women on there. Especially Cheryl Burke, I'd give anything for her to love me.

I stopped taking the show seriously after the cheetah girl was voted off early and when Mario Lopez lost to Emmitt Smith (I thought Mario was a vastly superior dancer).

Even though she was a tad on the thin side, I always had a thing for Edyta

These voting shows are always suspect.
