Maybe it's a cultural difference but when a similar thing happened in the UK
That's what I was waiting for. The old UK is so much better than the US that I have come to love and expect from you. Thank you for not letting me down.

I'm glad the right-wingers are so deeply buried under your skin.
Now, go have a heart attack AND a stroke.

Bingo. I don't think there's ever been another dancer on there who has gotten such consistently bad marks but who somehow manages to make it to the top 3. I figured she was running on empty long ago and like everyone else, was completely stunned when Brandi got the boot instead of Bristol last week. Can't they keep their bullshit political views out of anything?
BTW, are you allowed to vote if you live outside the USA?
Somehow, I can't see Bristol doing that. She'll happily stand there waving the trophy knowing full well she hasn't "won" it.
Actually, the viewer voting is not for best dancer...but for favorite dancer. By that definition, it is a popularity contest...and she can legitimately say she won it, if she wins the popular vote. (the best dancer is not necessarily the favorite)

I know what you mean Simon sort of like Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize less than a month into his presidency...

I think it's a sweeping generalization but it is cultural. The drive and self-promotion more typical of Americans is good in some way but less good in others.
Whether you agree or disagree with the reasons, the facts are indisputable - in the same situation someone from the UK behaved completely differently. I did not say that the UK was better than the US - you must be letting your prejudices cloud your reading ability.
DWTS is a crack popularity contest. They shouldn't have open (phone) voting decide who stays or goes. It really should be up to the judges and at most the audience...
Thank god the silly little twirp did not win last night.

I do not watch DWTS, looks like Jennifer won.
