Since dear Pirata (peace to you!) had a sincere question, I think I should address that, first, if you all will indulge me. Thank you... and peace to you, as well!
If the name is important to the Lord, why have others not spoken about it?
Since you are asking as to what is important to my Lord, dear one, the truth is that I am really not the one to ask. You REALLY should ask my Lord himself. Then you would know what I know, which is that there are two reasons: (1) Fear - there are way more "Peters" out there than we'd like to admit - those who KNOW the truth, but because they value their own skin (and man's opinion of them) more than they love Christ, they won't say what they know; and (2) the "world" cannot receive that which is of the Holy Spirit. Thus, others were once killed and today are deemed crazy and/or locked up for telling such truths.
C'mon, dear Pirata, look at the world we live in. There was a time where if you didn't say what "the Church" told you to day you were literally killed. You are certainly aware that if you don't say what the WTBTS says you can be utterly ostracized, which is almost as bad as being killed, for some. And, omigosh, if you call yourself a "christian" but don't belong to a religion?! Not even a mainstream religion, today, but you'd better "belong" to something! I mean, I cannot tell you how many times I've been asked, "What church do you belong to?" Er? I belong to the Body of Christ, which is the congregation of the Firstborn.
"Yes, but where do you worship; who do you fellowship with? Who is your pastor?" How does someone like me respond to any of those questions anymore? I (along with others)... AM the church. I worship in [the] Spirit and [the] Truth... THROUGH that One. And he is my only "pastor." But try telling that to some "christians."
And what happens when one speaks of "sacred" things that are DIFFERENT from the mainstream/norm/accepted? (And please don't tell me that JWs are different from the mainstream/norm. They are NO different, really, than the early Church and particularly the Church duing the Dark Ages). What happened to, say, Isaiah? Daniel? Jeremiah? Zechariah? John the Baptist? Paul? The Apostles? My Lord?
Are there that few Christians on this earth to which this name would be revealed?
This is hard for me to answer because I think the truth will... ummmm... "offend" you. I am compelled, then, to ask you a question, instead: at what time, in the history of "God" that you are aware of were things initially, or even subsequently in some instances, revealed to large groups of people at a time? Was it not to one or two... or a few... long before it was to the larger group? You can't even count the revelation of the Law given at Mount Sinai. True, the entire nation of Israel and those who went with them were gathered at the base of the mountain. But only one man had the faith... and courage... to actually go and speak with the Most Holy One face to face. And he only did so because the others, too cowardly to face God themselves, ask him to go FOR them.
Which is what most want: someone ELSE to go and speak for them and then come back and tell them what the Most Holy One of Israel has said. They call these pastors, reverends, popes, Governing Body members, and the like.
My Lord will reveal his name to ANYONE who wants him to do so. As I have said on numeous occasions, all one has to do is ask. The problem isn't that he is revealing his name to very few; the problem is that very few are asking him. Oh, they're asking "elders." And they're asking priests. They're asking popes. They're even asking the Bible. But they're not asking him.
Why? There are couple/few reasons but the MAIN one is that they don't REALLY want to know. Why? Because they fear that if they DID ask... he WOULD tell them... and THEN... they would be like me... and those like me... and so would have to go around telling others (which is NOT true; I don't HAVE to do anything)... and then be thought crazy or unstable or what have you. Have people laugh at and contend with them. And, well, we can't have THAT, can we? No, we would MUCH rather look "wise" to men... than be foolish for God. 'Cause we've had enough of that, some of us have.
Thing is... I haven't. I have no problem appearing foolish. Because I know who it is I am being a fool for. And for ONCE, it isn't earthling man.
I hope this helps, dear Pirata... and again, peace to you!
A slave of Christ,
