Like all things, this is all about balance. Feminism is at one extreme while misogyny is at the other end of the spectrum. And like most things, the answer lies right in the middle.
Women and men are equal and should be treated as equal. Calling a woman a "weaker vessel" in the Bible is not directed at women. It is directed at men that feel like they are the greater ones and can trample all over the rights of women. We should view them as special people, that are in fact better than us men.
A mans stature is naturally built to be "stronger" physically. But women are greater than men in so many other ways that this is one of the only things that men have on women. There should never have been any distinction on what women can and cannot do compared to what men can and cannot do.
Personally I sort of feel like the feminist movement was extreme...yet necessary to force a change on society. Modern feminism...well I don't really see a need for such an extreme view anymore.
Let the flaming on me begin...
