DJ there is a huge difference in being a Jerkoobah Witness and being a member of The WTS in which I think you are referring to, many can become JW's without ever knowing about the existence of The WTS

-he can remember our DNA and thoughts. If that sounds far fetched remember this- Jehovah created, named and numbered all of the stars. There are billions upon billions of stars in billions of galaxies! Jehovah can easily recreate us from the elements of the ground using our dna so we will be the same people. Jehovah can cause our brain to function the same way that it did before thus all of our memories, personality, likes/dislikes, etc all start up again.

"Folklore consists of legends, music, oral history, proverbs, jokes, popular beliefs, fairy tales and customs that are the traditions of that culture, subculture, or group. It is also the set of practices through which those expressive genres are shared. The study of folklore is sometimes called folkloristics."

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Despite popular JW opinion, the recreation by God of a dead person's body, dna, memories, etc., ( but not the mental and physical defects) and then living forever as perfect humans on a perfect paradise Earth with no more natural disaster, is not fact, it's religious folklore, invented by the WT writing department. God is not watching you go to the bathroom, having sex, probing your mind and recording your base/lustful thoughts or even your doubts about God. Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle would have to be violated for God to be able to do this. Human observations since the beginning of the Age of Enlightenment/Reason have shown that God does not interfere with man's free will, even to save six million humans from Hitler's gas chambers. No it was up to General Eisenhower to do that and it's agood thing for the survivors that he rejected his Russellite Bible Students upbringing and entered the Army in 1911.

Further, we have no proof that God is even paying any attention to what is going on here- which is all the more reason for humans to solve the problems we face and not sit on our hands preaching that some kingdom of Jehovah will fix everything later. Doing that is a sure way to end up sick, poor, childless, alone and depressed in your retirement. Look at the infamous JW- Charlie Sinutko, the "stay alive until 1975 guy", who gave up a promising career in the 50's to work and speak fulltime for the WT Org. Where is he now? - why, he is living in a trailer park (no kids, no life, etc.,-because the end was so-oo close) in California, subsisting on a meager Social Security check based on his slave WT CO/DO/special pioneer wages. He never dreamed back in 1969, that he would have to face death- why the new order was just a few short years away, he all but promised to the JWs at the WT conventions.

Is Charlie Sinutko still a WT slave, or has he realized he was following a false prophet?

Anyone here read/see any Joseph Campbell stuff? He's one that gets it, I think.

Recreating, resurecting, duplicating, cloning, DNA splicing, super computing....does not erase what has taken place. This "almighty" has allowed death, distruction, perversion, etc., all to protect his reputation. SOunds very human to me.

Yes he is, and I imagine he gets a small stipend (hush money) from the borg- I seem to remember him mentioning something about special pioneer status. I had a brief conversation on the phone with him awhile back- he doesn't want Moshe to call him back, either- I upset his day. Johnny Cip called him the next day (we tag teamed him). Johnny really ruined his day-

Thank you Leolaia. You helped clarify the matter in my mind. The idea of creating a new body with all the same memories, etc. is clarified when you imagine it happening before you die. Which one is the real you?

I'm assuming here that you are no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses

Are you kidding me with this crap? Read my profile. I am not even a slave of Christianity myth either. Jehovah remembers??? What, does he have a hard drive? LOL You're file 100001a, hope his hardrive doesn't get a virus.

    @djeggnog- Thank you very much!

Actually I have no problem understanding the resurrection at all!

@Leolaia- Jehovah does not make a replicant of you- he makes YOU!

Not one cell of your brain or body is the same as the ones you were born with. The DNA in the cells causes them to duplicate, replace themselves. My cells have done this many times over in the 53 years I have been alive. But I am still me!

I have the same personality, memories, traits as I had decades ago- I am still me! But I look a bit different.

When Jehovah resurrects you your body will have the exact same dna it had before you died.Your cells will reproduce and replace themselves in the same way as before. Your brain's neuron's fire off the same electrical patterns as before- thus your personality, memory , etc are the same!

My brain cells and body cells may be different now then they were decades ago- but I am still ME! Not a replicant!

@Moshe- while I no longer agree with or believe in certain things the wts teaches and no longer consider myself to be a jw I still recognize certain things they teach as being true.

Regarding fables- how can you portray everything jws teach as fables when Judaism is full of fables?

I left that religion a long time ago and could never understand why anyone would choose it. It answers NONE of my questions and I could make up my own rituals and traditions that would be better than the ones my relatives follow which were made up by rabbis during the Middle Ages.

If you do not believe Jehovah pays any attention to what humans do and does not already know EVERYTHING about everyone's makeup, why bother to worship him at all? My relatives don't even know who God is! Just some Ha Shem (The name) mystery:" G-D." They don't worship him. Judaism puts all the emphasis on people, and puts GOD far in the background. He is a mystery to my relatives.

I was born and raised in that religion same as all of my blood relatives but I would have never chosen it.

For the resurrection to really make sense and be appreciated we must realize that when we die we are DEAD. We go back to the ground as Jehovah told Adam: "For dust you are, and to dust you will return." Gen.3:19,23. When Adam died he went back to where he was before God had created him- nonexistance. That is what happens when we die.

Jehovah can easily resurrect a person! It is the same PERSON! Not a replicant!

How do you distinguish between a person and a replicant?
