I feel bad that your friends at Bethel never bothered with you after you went home but I am not surprised.
I stopped going to meetings 8 years ago and not 1 single person from my congregation ever contacted me or inquired what happened to me or why I left.
In both of our cases, they were simply never our friends to begin with.

Yes, I think you are right. But what a horrible reality to wake up to, especially as a young person.
I'm sorry for your story too. I can't believe they didn't show up at least once or twice to visit you in order to count their time on the time card though...
