  I did not see the thread that was removed. So I had to go look at it.

  Under Terms of Use we do not need to explain why threads are locked or removed. They are not deleted because sure enough we have to refer to them when people start complaining like you just did.

  In the thread I locked I clearly said why it was locked. You don't like what people post then don't read it. No reason to start threads because you don't like someone's online personality.

  I am going out on a HUGE limb here and am thinking that your complaint thread was removed because it btoke Posting Guideline

  If you disagree with any action taken then please raise it via email or PM.

  Then refer back to the Terms of Use. We don't have to explain. Explanations tend to go on and on and on. We have rules. They aren't hard. Don't like them find a website with better rules. Or make your own.

  I don't get ticked off easily but one thing that does tick me off is people complaining how other people post and that they ought to change and then get their nose out of joint when they get shut down. I would never have even known about the thread unless some people hadn't PMed me about how offensive they found it.

  Most people here do know me as pretty even keeled but every now and then I feel like I am talking to kids.

  OK Sorry I would not even talk to my grandchildren like that

  No one has any freedom as far as the WTS goes. They fought for them therefore they are th eonly ones who are allowed to use them.

  I was not the producer or creator of the video. I'm not selling anything although the proiducers do have the entire 85 minute video for sale on their website. But they are also selling the other videos there too.

  I have contacted the producers to get them to look into the matter. I don't own the video and I didn't post it so I doubt YouTude will give me much info since I am simply the subject of the video.

  This is the first time since I have been on th einternet that I have been "removed" lol Almost feels like being DFed again but this time it is more funny than anything else.

  In his defence, Aussie Oz didn't say anyone should have their threads locked or deleted, yet that's what happened to him.

  And so what if he complains about the way certain posters post? Let him have a rant. As it turned out, many agreed with him. He didn't single out any particular posters. It was a general rant. Just as ppl rant about politicians, the JW religion, other religions etc.

  It is too easy to forget that people here are more than just words on a screen. They are real with real feelings.

  Saying someone shouldn't post in a certain style or using certain words is a personal attack. And those are not allowed here. See Guideline #2

  There aren't a lot of people who post here using the particular style he was complaining about. In fact I can only think onf 1 but then I don't read the entire website.

  Attack ideas not people. Discuss ideas, not people. And if it really irks you how a person posts then doin't read it.

  What about the personal responsibility of the person attacking? They want someone else to change how they post (not what they post but how) so their sensibilities are not disruptive. What about their own responsibility to pass over it so they are offended?

  We all have to accept responsibility for what we do say or post. They are demanding that other people change how they post because what? It hurts their eyes?

  I'm going to bed.

  I can tolerate threads being locked without comment, PM or explanation. But when posters are banned for reasons that are not immediately evident, without even a 'heads-up' or opportunity to defend or plea their case, it becomes a bit much.

  We have lost some long-time, valued posters lately whose transgressions were fairly benign. Their dismissal shapes the board in a way that makes it less free and more guarded. I'd rather put up with a few rough edges than end up with bland, gummy pablum.
