Why don't you try starting your own forum and spend your own time (unpaid) refereeing the various squabbles and dis agreements that inevitably break out when many diverse personalities are rubbing along together?

Maybe you don't remember when this forum was about to go down because Simon was getting DEATH THREATS from posters who disagreed with his policy of trying not to cause offence?

I am frankly tired of posters who object that I should censor myself to keep JW visitors here happy but who then complain when they are censored for their own lack of consideration.

Go look at apologists threads like Reniaa's and others.

IF YOU THINK YOU WILL BE OFFENDED AVOID THE THREAD. There is no gun at your head to keep reading.

Lady does a damned good job. (sorry about the "damned " cuss word - are you offended?) Her critics would not willingly volunteer to do it. Did you?

I would also respectfully suggest to Simon and the others who run this very helpful site:

Go back to the days when there was not an "Active Topics" option.

You had to got to Friends, or Social or Scandals or WT doctrine or Abuse or Politics or Humor.

That way you need only see teasers for threads that might attract you. It would also stop some very good threads disappearing in the shuffle tooo quickly, cause most people just go straight to Active Topics.

Get rid of the Active Topics button I say...

You do take some getting used to, my dear, and I've never been the knight in shining armour type. You don't need me, anyway. I've seen you in action. You remind me of the guys I used to work with when I was a logger. Honourable, strong, proud and generally respectful, but if you messed with them they'd snap you in half like a twig.

Since you're a fan of blunt speech.... your incessant, sarcastic LOLs aren't my cup of tea. Just wanted to share that to even things out a bit. On the other hand, I'm sure you have some great qualities that will become apparent over time on this forum.

Oh, and I have no doubt that some on here (and IRL) find me annoying. I have my own idiosyncrasies, many of which annoy me.

FWIW,Shelby, you and I may have opposing views and I might make light of your salutations and closures, but I honestly do appreciate that you, from where I sit, seem to be a genuinely nice person. I could stand to learn a thing or two from you.

I feel strongly on some points but can also see the other side. I have learnt some lessons, made some apologies, kept my mouth shut and cancelled some things i wanted to say yesterday.

This is not my board, i have no desire to start one either. I do not wish to leave here either.

some posters like Ohio cowboy, Outlaw, Blacksheep and Aguest have helped me see another side and calm down. I have been told off by some, supported by others (you know who you are) . I consider myself wiser than i was at the start of the day thats for sure.

New day, new threads!
