Ok, I smashed a spider yesterday, but released a ladybug out the window. Hypocrisy?

I would capture it and make it fight a scorpion.

I only kill spiders if they come inside the house and if they're poisonous. Otherwise, I leave them alone since they're all part of the ecosystem.

Funny/scary thing happened to me today: I was delivering Avon orders to my customers today. I usually bring a bottle of water to drink. Well, at one stage I went to take a swig. As I was taking a gulp of water, I realised I was staring into the eyes of a huntsman spider staring right back at me! I shrieked, and tried to brush the spider off my bottle, but the more I shook the bottle, or tried to brush him off, the tighter he clung on! He eventually got brushed onto the passenger seat so I opened the door and tried to brush him out. He disappeared, and I still don't know if he got out, or if he's still crawling around the car somewhere!!!!

A few yrs ago, i kept a couple of spiders for the whole summer. They had little webs, up there where the wall meets the ceiling. They caught little flies and crapped down the wall. Then, for a few yrs, i would escort them out a window or door. Later still, my patience thinned and i started sqwashing them. What would gawd think of me? Oh wait, i AM gawd.

I only squash white tail spiders here in NZ (they bite), we get lots of them where I live. I like other spiders. I have a few residents that live quite happily along side my family. The white tails eat my other spiders, so a another good reason for them to die.

Now, giant stick insects....thats another story....I'm sure they are out to get me....hee hee hee

Ladybugs can be a pain, in the fall. There's a time there, when it gets cold, that they go nuts and come into the apt in groups. I generally just leave them be. Gawd is happy:)

Ladybugs are cute. And good for the garden. They huddle together in groups. They must be wanting to draw nearer to Gawd.

It's from childrens stories we were read when younger..

I only remember parts but, The Lady bug was:

"Lady bug Lady bug fly away home, your house is on fire and your children are alone.." (Of course we are going to feel sorry for the Lady Bug)

And regarding the spider, well look how they were .mean to children:

"Little Miss Muffet, sat on a tuffet, eating her curds and whey, when along came a spider and sat down beside her and frightened miss Muffet away!"

    Spiders were scary..

Horse Ribs are a delicacy in some countries, including the UK if I'm not mistaken.

    Yes - very much mistaken!

MISERYLOVESELDERS- No, not at all. No hypocrisy issue here. Especially if the spider you killed was a brown recluse or a black widow you were probably saving someone's life by killing it ! Ladybug's are sweet, serve a good purpose in nature. Now if the spider you killed was a daddy long legs, O.K.- then you're a bastard, they are harmless. Just how I see it. I wouldn't lose any sleep over this, it's not a matter of salvation bro

We fear what don't understand. What doesn't make sense to us must be given the sentence of death
