I liked it Sab! You sure can tell it was from the heart! You said how I feel, Bravo!

I sucks that we can't even tell them anything. That our eyes and brain, just don't see it the way they do. I really liked that part.

I'm a grandmother too, and had the same reaction when I saw you. What a nice young man!

I can see from the JW culture how the hair and t-shirt make their own statement (You aren't in to the program any more). At the same time, you face your audience with gentle eyes, cautiously, and with humility. That, I would say, is from your JW upbringing (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I am a strong introvert and the JW upbringing can be a very social thing. I think you are right, it has made me more timid than average.

Yet, you have put yourself out there on Youtube. You may approach with a little trepidation, but your words have power.

Great video. I was especially impressed with the way you revealed that your trying to understand things based off what is logical to you isn't arrogant or trying to seem smarter than the WTBS. This was great because JWs are taught that "apostates" (i hate that term) are arrogant, self-righteous, know-it-alls. You handled that very classy.

    Well played.

Unfortunately, it will always be impossible for "apostates" to define themselves.

Hello Tempered and welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure what you mean, could you elaborate on your point?

Sure. While I admire the time, effort and obvious passion that went into the making of your video, my personal opinion is that it's a waste of time. I understand the desire to "set things straight" and to voice your opinion about the JW cult. I've done my share of that in the past.

We are "apostates", as defined by the WTBTS. They named us and they claim us. We are and will forever be their outcasts.

Speaking from a completely personal position, defending ourselves as "apostates" and attempting to expose the JWs as the cult they are is an effort in futility.

Someone on a thread not too long ago stated that the best defense/example/revenge was to live a happy and fulfilled life away from the Borg. I've found that to be true

Tempered, I appreciate your opinion on the matter. My opinion is similar to yours, but with one difference:

Hope is a powerful thing when not allowed to degrade into delusion. I am a firm believer in the statement "after the final no comes yes." Call me idealistic, but I like the way my life turns out when I never give up hope. I look forward to more of your posts.
