What DO I think about Glenn Beck?

A knot? What are you talking about? Weiner lied. No knot. You truly live by your own narrative. I take back what I said about Beck--he's a freaking genius. He knows his audience well. I admit that Weiner lied, and you think something got knotted. Is this cognitive dissonance? I guess critical thinking is a wonderful gift that not everyone accepts. I keep trying to understand how people with this mind set continue to come to opposite conclusions of the evidence, but it baffles me. I need to quit trying to reason with such a mind set. You already know everything about me and every other liberal. God I'd hate to live a life like that. It is so full of hatred and untruth.

Ok. There has been some WONDERFUL COMMENTARY and now the thread seems to be DETERIORATING into political bashing, not of the subject, Glenn Beck [which is not really something I endorse, but would be understandable given the topic], but of each other.

On a softer note, I am going back to the last page and looking up that political placement test. I will report it below.

    The Political Compass

    Economic Left/Right: -4.62
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.38

Don't know why I can't paste the graph. But I placed dead center in the Left/Libertarian quadrant [bottom-left]

Liberals sure do get their panties in a knot...when confronted with the truth

Try confronting us with some truth, and we'll see.

It is quite obvious that Glenn Beck is bringing back America and the Constitution to Americans who love this country...those who wish to trash our country are a sad species of animal.

RI--I'm going to trust you to converse with me without insults. I'd like to ask you, what SPECIFICALLY about the old America do you miss? Exactly what changes do you believe were unconstitutional? Please give me specifics, because there are many things about the old America that trouble me. Discrimination, both sexual and racial, slavery, women not being voting citizens, property laws that excluded women, Jim Crow laws, poll taxes. Those kind of things. But I don't want to assume that those are the things you miss--so tell me what do you miss?

LOL, just as I suspected Ri is a troll. Probably an old JWO member.

Hey Beks, what is JWO and how does that make RI a troll? I feel stupid right now. LOL

I miss honestity and trust in our government...yes we have come a long way to improvement and now we want to go backwards at breakneck speed. Debachary in our goverment seems to be the order of the day. I have never seen human beings act the way they did in Madison Wisconsin. What a disgrace to our country by Union thugs.

The Rape of Lisa Logan in Tihier square was not even condemed by the Liberal press and hardly mentioned, yet, they made heros out of muslim rapist. Unbeliveable! Makes one sick to think about how mentally ill our country has become.

RI, that is pretty vague and subjective. I did hear a lot about that rape and it was soundly condemned, and I listen to the liberal media. I'm not sure why you didn't hear that.

Now honesty and trust in government: can you give me specifics? There is a problem, but I don't see that liberals are more guilty than conservatives. For instance, you pointed out Weiner and I counter with Vitter. Talk about Edwards and I can counter with Ensign. None of us like to see this behavior by either side. I am puzzled as to why you hold liberals responsible though. Can you give me a specific? We can move the conversation forward that way.

Wisconsin--well we do live in a country that allows that kind of protest. It may not be your thing, but maybe the working people feel that the conservatives were acting like thugs. That isn't a statement to make you mad, it's just an observation. There are many views and these people felt like this was their only power. They wanted their voices heard. If you believe demonstrations were out of line, then how do you think they should have made their voices heard? Is there a way you find more acceptable? I'm just trying to figure out how the workers could have protested that the conservatives would not have found it offensive.
