If you need association, try Morris Dancing, cider making and some of the many of the crazy local clubs and rituals that we Kiwis only ever get to see on the telly.

Dancing through an orchard sticking toast on trees sounds like a splendid way to spend an evening.

    Cheers

Lazy Sundays? Haha... i often dont sleep in past 10am by which time i could be up and heading to church. Alternativly I was thinking before, i could kind of use this place as a church of sorts. It does after all fulfill my 2 criteria: Im accepted and i feel spiritualy encouraged here. I suppose its not the same though! :(

Off to bed now. Im gonna read the book of John with a nice cuppa tea! Make myself feel special! :)

Thanks for all your comments! xxx

To find a gay-affirming church in your area:

I found a church near where I live and even did a drive-by looking. Bottom line for me was I couldn't just pick a religion based on where I park my dick at night.

HeyTimothy i know thisis a late reply, but no i live in the u.s. and you are right, you shouldn't have to explain yourself to no one. Good luck finding a church you will be comfortable at.

Hey zoik's its cool im not mad just poking fun at you a little bit. I'm just here to make new friends. I was born and raised jw's, but am trying to make a clean break. I know this organization is full of it. I knew it at 13, but had to live under my parent's roof, you know how that goes. Anyway nice to meet you and everyone else.

Yeah, you don't have to defend yourself to anyone! I'm glad you're not going to take that. Its disheartening to find people who claim to follow and sometimes even 'speak' for Christ, show a spirit so different than His.

You can go to Him though (and you already know this). You can BE His church, along with the others who follow Him, and make up His Body. It does not have to be a particular 'church' or 'group'.

I understand wanting to hear a sermon, perhaps, and to also be encouraged by others who love Him.

Just don't let anyone make you feel bad, or make you doubt your faith and love for him, or his love for you and us.

    Peace,

    Tammy

    Hi timothy!

I think it is nice that you keep a faith, and that you´ve started on a new spiritual journey. Wish you the best and hope you´ll be welcomed as you deserve. I occasionally attend a gay- accepting lutheran church and it is nice to be accepted.

i dont know why a gay man would want anything to do with religion. Especially the big three. Islam Judaism and Christianity. Their books all call for death to homosexuals. The other problem ofcourse is that they dont provide proof for any of their claims.
