They don't have a list of their FDS members??? I mean, this is one of their very 'top' doctrines about their 'chosen ones.' They 'count' and 'total' them and 'report' the total of 11,202 in their 2010 Annual Service Report. They are the 'masters' of their 'lists' of works, their hours (right down to their 15-minute reporters), publisher and pioneer totals, attendances, etc, etc. etc.
The real identity of the F&DS revealed...any news yet?

Yeah, isn't is ridiculous! We all know the GB wants to know about every single magazine placement and even the 15 minutes of Field Service from Sister Oldenweary, but we're supposed to accept the fact that they have no idea who the individuals are that comprise the FDS, supposedly the most important group of people in the history of mankind and the very group that gives them their theocratic authority and legitimacy: the appointment by Christ is to the FDS, not the GB. The GB just claims to represent them.

Oh, I get it now, without the FDS, they're just a bunch of illegitimate bastards!
Come to think of it, that's exactly right. The fact that they don't know who are the individuals that comprise the FDS is kind of similar to a child not knowing their biological father. The term for that is: Bastard!

Yes, Keyser Soze, who rode into Brooklyn on his sled Rosebud in 1914, right after he deboarded the spacecraft Alcyone Express which had just arrived from the Pleiades via wormhole (he had a window seat in the same aisle with Jehovah, Jesus, and V'GER)!

In the 1950s and 1960s, the anointed ones was very generational. My ggf was one. MY gm and great aunts or uncle would never consider themselves annointed. Only ancient people partook at memorial. Everyone paid attention for the drama of someone less than 85 partaking. Our overseer, aged 40 something, partook around 1968. The entire congreation thought it was false. Only when someone with ties to Bethel asked and was told it none of our business and that overseer would not be disfellowshipped did we believe. This seemed an isolated case.
Part of me like the bits that so many feel entitled. Obviously, something changed in the culture from ages 85-100+ only to so many that the WTBTS gives up. 1975 seemed credible to me, in part, because my great grandfather's generation was definitely dead. I did hear some talk of people in the 144,000 in heaven falling away in heaven. You are never safe with Jehovah.
Does anyone have any ideas what changed in the culture?

A 40something who "shockingly" partook in 1968 would be in his 80s now - older than most, if not all, of the fellas on the GB if I'm not mistaken (a couple of who, it's been reported, started partaking as teens).
What changed? THEY ALL FRICKIN' DIED OR WENT SENILE. Nobody knows what the hell is going on anymore because the GB is made up of yes-men with no direction, imagination, intelligence, charisma, passion, or much of anything else. What happens when you take a handful of guys who have never known how to do anything but follow orders and put them in charge of 7 million people?
Not a whole hell of a lot, it turns out.

Case Number: B12083367
Acting Prosecutor: Mr Steven Unthank
Accused: FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE
Legal argument for the accused was presented by lawyers representing the Watchtower Society, including that the accused did not exist.
An application was made by the Crown (the Director of Public Prosecutions) for an adjournment for four weeks so that Victoria Police could complete an investigation and so that the Crown can prepare to take over the case.
Results: The Magistrate conferred with Mr Unthank who approved the request made by the Crown. The case was adjourned for four weeks.
