Well, how'd it go? I'm waiting with bated breath.

Operation went well. Pain is minimal. ln a room of 6 lying listening to Alison Moyet on my headphones. I was told to expect to be in 7days but consultant said tonight that if chest xray is good in the morning I can go home Sunday. Both lungs partiallly collapsed but looking much bettter on latest xray. Very little air now in chest drain. I stopped using morphine 7 hours ago and can still breathe deeply with only slight discomfort.

2 hourly obs all night is not conducive to sleep. Neither is snoring farting man opposite!

Hopefully Alison Moyet is drowning out the snoring farter..

Excellent that you are progressing so well without morphine. Fingers crossed that your xray is clear in the morning and you can go home and recuperate - you'll need it to catch up on the sleep you are missing with the wake up every 2 hrs.
