OMG, yes they freaking did say that. Even blood fractions were considered "feeding on blood" if you took >1 dose in a lifetime (even though it takes >1 dose to treat one significant bleeding episode).

Had they not, my life would have been very different .

Yep, their schtick was, "Take a maximum of one dose in your entire life. If you seek more, you're a demonized vampire!"

First of all when has a jew ever obeyed his god, his disobedience is what caused him to lose gods favor and go under slavery to other countries time and time again, his diobedience is the reason you have a chance to gain everlasting life one day. If the jew was obedient to god he would not be a jew, he would have accepted gods son Jesus and become a christian as the disciples and other jew who accepted christ did. His religion was rejected by christ, as he was rejected by them 2000 years ago."he said your house is abonded to you," God said that he was going to take a nation out of the gentiles who would obey him. And as for the note about the unbaptized baby, who was given blood, being ressurrected. why would the baby need to be ressurrected if his diobedient parents were not going to be ressurected to finish raising him, he would just be an orphan in Gods new world, No, i dont think so.

About the feeding on blood. I knew people who the doctor told them not to drink alchole anymore, or they would die. so instead they started shotting it into their arm with a needle, they still died from cirrossis of the liver, anything you put in your system you feed on.

I also know a doctor who pretends that he is a witness when he goes into hospital, and needs blood, so that they will use any alternative such as they do for the witnesses, so that he does not have to take blood, everyone at the hospital was laughing at him as we all knew he was not a witness. A medical journal I have read written by a well know doctor in chgo, tells other doctors, to do not use blood if you can help it. as it is the worst thing that you could do to the human body. to use any other alternative they could, and he is not a witness. God only wants to protect us.

    @ bft123 who said,

Seriously? You know or knew people....not just one, but more than one....who actually injected themselves with alcohol?

So you know an extremely careless doctor . . . deceitfully dodging all those transfusions to everyone's delight?

do not use blood if you can help it. as it is the worst thing that you could do to the human body. . . . bft123

I would have thought severing a femoral artery would be worse.

I'm sure main-lining alcohol is a real problem, especially when it's on doctors orders.

    c'mon bft123 . . . what is this? bullshit for twats one-two-three?

Welcome to JWN . . . but get real if you want it to last.

I'd have thought that letting your body die from not having blood would be a lot worse for...uhm, you know...the body.

bft123: I knew people who the doctor told them not to drink alchole anymore, or they would die. so instead they started shotting it into their arm with a needle, they still died from cirrossis of the liver, anything you put in your system you feed on.

I think what bft123 meant here was that she knew and old Watchtower article that used this analogy and decided to present it as one of her own first hand experiences.

She made the truth her own.

bft123: do not use blood if you can help it. as it is the worst thing that you could do to the human body.

I don't know about the "worst thing", but I have heard from other sources that it's tougher on the body than using the blood alternatives. I think ER docs probably reach for the blood a little too carelessly just because they don't have to think about it. Where possible, I would rather use anything but blood products. But when it come down to crunch time... blood it is.

EDIT: It was an AWAKE article:

    June 8, 2006

"Some argue that this God-given restriction applies only to the eating of blood, but the word “abstain” speaks for itself. If a doctor told us to abstain from alcohol, we would hardly feel at liberty to inject it into our veins."

The Borg blood doctrine has nothing to do with concern for the health of the rank and file JWs, either spiritually or physically. It is entirely about power and control. It weeds out those who are willing to think and act for themselves, leaving behind only compliant, obedient sheep.

It is one of the most tragic cult traits the Watchtower employs.
