The order to put away obscene language is for the speaker's self esteem, not for God's ears. It's for a warning not to go down that road. It doesn't mean bad language will lead the listener astray.
Actually if the leaders of the JWs would have spoken what they were thinking, and said in public what they said in private, we wouldn't have the worry that we have that seven million sheep are being led astray, now would we?
