Come flee away where wishes are just what you want them to be
where Satin dreams can freely obsess with brilliant flashings
where feathered quill embosses upon the clouds it's hopes, it's dreams
believing there is magic yet among these bright shining stars
mourning not for love lost but bathed in lights shining glory
a place of unicorns and misty , dreamy shades of blue ...
Where Knights in White Satin never reaches the end !!!
~~~ CaliberThe divine light of love
The tunnel of light spins in colors of blue
"Late Lament"
Cold hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colors from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white,
But we decide which is right.
And which is an illusion~~~ Graeme Edge
Ceilings faded away to reveal a sky of endless stars and the music seemes to come from heaven....
memorable lyrics are subjective, in that the audience interprets according to its own experiences
From a place of joy and luxury turn to terror
titanic terror ... witnessed by whitier shades of palehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJIVz9nYx7I
We skipped the light fandango
Turned cartwheels 'cross the floor
I was feeling kinda seasick
But the crowd called out for more
The room was humming harder
As the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another drink
The waiter brought a tray
And so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face, at first just ghostly,
Turned a whiter shade of pale
She said, 'There is no reason
And the truth is plain to see.'
But I wandered through my playing cards
And would not let her be
One of sixteen vestal virgins
Who were leaving for the coast
And although my eyes were open
They might have just as well've been closed
And so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face, at first just ghostly,
Turned a whiter shade of pale
"Bands" playing on the Titanic. Although they knew they were going to die, the band kept on playing. Before hitting the iceberg, young kids were doing cartwheels on the "Deck". The songwriter is a little bit seasick. The crew kept the lights on but in those days, the light bulbs might have emitted a "hum" When the boat was sinking (bow first), the glass ceiling collapsed when the water reached it. The crew (waiters) emptied the bar and gave out all of the booze.
"As the miller told his tale". I believe the correct lyrics are: "As the mayor told his tale" (possibly Dr. Washington Dodge - 1st class passenger on Titanic).
His face was ghostly at first but turned a whiter shade of pale when he realized that he was going to die. Several of the passengers thought the Titanic was unsinkable. Playing cards and listening to the band was a method to take their minds of their eventual fate. Nurture your awareness, and accept what life brings. even if you must leave this world in flustered dignity -
In a 1985 interview in Hitch magazine, James said the title of the song came to him while he was reading the Bible's Book of Revelation:
I took the title from the Book of Revelations [sic] in the Bible, reading about the New Jerusalem. The words jumped out at me, and they're not together; they're spread out over three or four verses. But it seemed to go together, it's my favorite of all my songs and one of our most requested.[1]
With an appropriate lighting scheme, the 2000s edition of Tommy James and the Shondells perform "Crystal Blue Persuasion"
However, according to James's manager, James was actually inspired by his readings of the Book of Ezekiel, which (he remembered as) speaking of a blue Shekhinah light that represented the presence of the Almighty God, and of the Book of Isaiah and Book of Revelation, which tell of a future age of brotherhood of mankind, living in peace and harmony.[2]
