If they go from door to door saying they are the one and only true religion and claim to be living by the Bible's moral standards, it only makes sense that they would takea dim view of porn watching and deal with porn watchers seriously since your average porn movie breaks any number of the Bible's moral laws. (or so I hear)

ROFL!
Some pornography is just that. But some is totally in the mind. It's just one of those curiosities.
For instance, a woman goes to a gynecologist and he sees her naked and then proceeds to insert all kinds of things into her vaginal canal to get a good look at everything, all the while some female nurse is present watching.
But if non-married publishers got together and inserted the same instruments into one of the females with another watching, they would get disfellowshipped.
Nudity, the same way. In come cultures, men walk around with their painted penises exposed and the women likewise have little on, with exposed genitalia and breasts. But in another culture when a woman exposes her breasts it is considered pornography.
On the other hand, are those who view pornography giving in to a weakened state? Would the idea of ever handling an addition through a psychologist seem practical?
But again, this is totally "in the mind of the beholder" kind of thing. For instance, I was close to a young witness couple who were having some sex issues. So they went downtown L.A. to see a movie for married couples where sexual positions were demonstrated by a married couple. So they didn't think that was pornography but sex instruction.
But what if a young, single publisher went to see the same movie? His "motive" for seeing the movie would be the issue and whether or not seeing explicit nudity caused him to be aroused sexually or not, creating another problem.
But here's where the error of the "man of lawlessness" comes in. Presumably the practice of observing pornography is part of being aroused sexually and then masturbating. MASTURBATION IS NOT AGAINST GOD'S LAW! (1 Thess 4:3-8). Christians are allowed to masturbate within the context of "santification and honor" meaning a Christian marital seeting, not as the nations do with any type of immoral sexuality. So it could be understood that watching "fornication" would be inappropriate but simple nudity or married couples demonstrating sexual positions would not violate the "sanctification and honor" restriction placed on masturbation at 1 Thess 4:3-8. However, the WTS condemns masturbation which the Bible allows to reduce temptation into fornication. So they misunderstand this and impose the guilt trip on the organization that Christ and Jehovah do not. It's a big mess but the WTS is going to be destroyed at Armageddon as prophesied, they are the "false prophet", even in the area of understanding masturbation.

LOL. What do the Watchtower care about porn? They really want the r&f to think that internet= porn= DFing. They are worried about the time that the r&f spend on the net, and the information available there. Anyone with an internet connection will be suspect in Watchtower world now. I think there will be many more Watchtowers warning of the dangers of the internet in the future.

Just another reason why disfellowshipping is such a stupid practice. I would not like it if my husband preferred porn to looking at me. OTOH, A couple might enjoywatching it together. Filming underage kids is just plain child abuse. But an older woman/man might enjoy posing for the camera if the money was good. Her/his perogative IMO. ( 0f course, she/he should consider the effect this would have on the family and future employment) Let God judge the adults and PAINFULLY NEUTER the bastards who exploit children.

3rdgewn..from what I have read/heard neutering doesn't help.
I have read the same about rapist..castrating them doesn't help either because it is a crime of violence rather than a crime of passion.

Hi Snoozy, Actually I was taking poetic licence. I was meaning to convey that I detest sexual exploitation of children and teens, so much so that I wouldn't mind taking a nutcracker to the testicles of the abuser. Not for the purposes of prevention but to inflict the pain and suffering I think pervs deserve. I think it might not take too many hard squeezes before he had. an attitude adjustment.

Larsinger58:
MASTURBATION IS NOT AGAINST GOD'S LAW! (1 Thess 4:3-8).
Once again, larsinger demonstrates an inept and deluded interpretation of scripture, wherein he believes that "to get possession of his own vessel" at 1 Thessalonians 4:4 refers to masturbation. Not only is the plain English meaning of "get possession" not indicative of manipulating something already possessed, but the original Greek word (κτ?ομαι [ktaomai], Strongs G2932) specifically means to acquire. 1 Peter 3:7 gives further indication that the 'vessel' refers to a 'wife'.
The Bible simply does not mention masturbation.
As usual, therefore, the best advice is, ignore 'scriptural' 'advice' from larsinger.

The WT wants its members to think that if they use the internet they will bombarded with porn no matter what they do.
