Equal access to legal service is the problem with any attempt at justice. It doesn't bother me to represent large corps fighting other large corps. Winning is nice, sort of receiving an A. There is an approximation of justice, esp. over the long haul. Most lawyers can't afford lawyers. It is heart breaking. When you are active, you donate and some portion of those funds pays for the WT legal team. If you had not given to the WT, they could not pounce on you with an arrogant attitude.
It seems more poignant when one's former religion is involved. Feelings of betrayl must exist. It seems odd that surveys indicate that the average American lacks fundamental legal services yet the legal market is so scary now. All these thousands of educated lawyers twiddling their thumbs, waiting for a job. The powerful stay powerful, in part, through lawyers.
Perhaps it does not matter, because the First Amendment shields the JWs. We need to start recognizing that individuals need to be shielded from powerful religions.
