Poopsiecakes, understood, thank you. No harm done.

EntirelyPossible, no I am not a fundie.

    Atrapado, you lost me there.

You act like it was supposed to cruise all over the world.

Now now, don't start lying, Jesus hates that. I am not ACTING like anything. I never said anything about cruising. Either way, even in the open ocean the ark couldn't survive. Far from being a delivery vessel of salvation, it would have cracked and carried them to a watery grave.

Please don't suggest I say more than I do. I say exactly what I mean, no more, no less.

By definition, if you are a bible literalist, you are a fundie. Although if that bothers you I can change it.

    Bible literalists are dumb.

Well truthseeker, you're welcome...but you didn't answer my question. Were Cinderella and Hansel & Gretel real people? They were in a book and everything and the stories about their lives have been passed down from generation to generation and told over and over again. They must have been real, right?

I see no reason why the ark could not have survived, after all God shut the door of the ark, what makes you think he couldn't have held it together?

I don't believe the Earth was created in six days so no, that doesn't make me a fundie.

And stop using the word dumb, because it is EntirelyPossible that you too are dumb.

    Poopsie,

No, it was a story and I have watched the adaptations and enjoyed them. You are comparing apples with oranges, a fairytale story with a book believed by billions of people. How presumptuous.

Because there is no evidence that God exists, of supernatural power of this type, of a flood, of a human or animal genetic bottleneck this small. There is tons of evidence against, none for.

    It's fanciful, wishful dumb thinking.

It's late for me so I'm going to say goodnite and will review the comments tomorrow.

And please believe me, I have nothing personal against any of you, this is a public forum, we are free to express our ideas and to agree or disagree with them.

I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend your right to say it.

Seriously folks, let's just agree to disagree.
