So what makes Cinderella's story something you can't believe in as having been real? Is it the fairy godmother? Her magic wand? That she turned a pumpkin into a coach? Maybe it was a miracle! Don't respond until you really think about that. And don't make me bring up Jack and the Beanstalk because the notion of giants existing is just silly, right?
I see no reason why the ark could not have survived, after all God shut the door of the ark, what makes you think he couldn't have held it together?
Ah... the stock response for all the problems with the Gilgamesh Epic Noah's Ark - God did a magic thing.
Yes, it is possible I am dumb. And it's good that you don't think the eath was created in 6 days. That's a start work on the flood next. I am sorry if you think the word dumb does not apply. Bible literalists are dumb.
Ha, nice one Jeffro!
For the record I have nothing against you personally either, truthseeker. :)
It just kinda pains me to see someone who has managed shake off the shackles of the WT and then somehow stopped thinking...
I just noticed EP's comment so will make this my final one.
I don't pretend to understand or know your own personal situation.
There's plenty of evidence for God. Look around you. None of what you see just happened or came into existence without a first cause.
I personally believe in the spirit realm. There are millions of people who have experienced supernatural phenomena, some on a regular basis.
I have experienced things I cannot explain or quantify. These beings do exist.
Like I said, fundies are dumb. There is NO evidence for god or a spirit realm. You now know the explanations doesn't mean the default answer is the god of the religion that happens to be dominant where you were born.
Had you been born in Saudi Arabia you would no doubt be extolling the virtues of Allah.

I know you're trying to make a point with Truthseeker, (((Poopsie )))... but we know Cinderella is a work of fiction from the author. (though there might have been true inspirition for the basic story behind Cinderella that was real... but then fiction often draws its inspiration from reality). But in either case, it is the same as when people say that Harry Potter must be real because he's in a book, when trying to show that it is absurd to believe in Christ just because he's in a book. The difference, again, is that we know the author of Harry Potter wrote it as fiction.
Just had to put that out there.
Peace,
Tammy

Ah... no, and no. Maybe that was a typo??
