Hey guy's!
I know that most of us need counseling after having our emotions abused by the WT for years.
But, unless we also adjust our attitudes; we can become abusers ourselves.
Studies show that abusers were once abused themselves,
and both types often are found in the same home.
The JW's like to think of their selves as being a big family,
and we know they have major problems!
They are good at hiding it; yet as soon as victims like us act out what we've seen them do,
they point the finger at us!
My advice is that we not go from one abusive relationship, into another abusive relationship.
The Bible shows that we may just need to cool down; no more wood or coals,
and then think through it.

where is Terry when we need him? He can always seem to get a serious discussion going.
I'm not trying to stir anybodies pudd'n and although no longer an elder I'm a hypocrite still stuck in as well so I'm not casting any stones, just trying to understand the mindset of others on here.
IMHO this place could help many who are lurking (and I beleive there are many) but lately it seems very childish and petty. Thus the reason for only 49 post in one year.

Elderlite. With apostacy being such a hot topic in the congs right now, how would you feel giving a talk on it? Or answering in the WT on it? Or as was asked, if someone was to be JC for it?
