@steve: I might be wrong, but I thought you posted on a different thread, your parents were cool. They

were progressive with education, did not follow the crowd, were not judgemental. I prided myself on putting

four of my kids through four year schools, and I felt not one ounce of guilt.

Yep Bubblegum I did post elsewhere that my JW parents were decent and loving (both now deceased). I was simply being ironic: i.e., if the God of the Witnesses was such a maniacal vengeful monster (as the Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament portrays him), his "so-called" children - the JWs among others - are doing way better than him in their parenting. I'd take humiliation anyday over barbaric physical stuff. I acknowlege I may be out of step with current sensibilities on the treatment of children.

Now, I'm excited to have a small project, and look up what I can, because many folks are reading this. A lot of those people have their bound volumes and books at home, and like Bubblegum Apotheosis, want to do their own verification of facts. That's what it's all about - being transparent. I've PM'd someone for assistance, and will do some looking around tomorrow.

It's a good request, and a worthy project. Hey, see what u can find. :D
