Unfortunately, Mitt's got his own women issues:
Mitt Romney has a record of governance he can point to. Everyone knew Romney's religion in Massachusetts, and he won.....
....in Massachussetts, probably the bluest state in the nation. Good luck trying to ride that hobby horse in the general.
Team Obama and its media acolytes have spent the last 6 months trying to change the subject away from the economy. They first turned to class (OWS), then gender (HHS ruling), and most recently, race (Martin/Zimmerman), all in rapid succession with little overlap. Just as one began to run out of gas, they have turned to another divisive issue to rile people up and turn attention away from the bad economy.
The main issue is still going to be the economy, and Obama doesn't want to run on his record. I wouldn't want to, either.
On the gender front, Romney already owns the male vote. But hundreds of thousands of women, if not millions, don't have jobs today that did 4 years ago. It has been even worse for men. But lots of women have unemployed husbands. You guys can wave a flag and shout the ficticious "war on women" all you want, but it isn't going to wash in November with these people. Polls show the electorate trusts Romney more than Obama on this issue, and it is the most important issue on the plate. If Romney continues to run a careful campaign and makes no big mistakes, and continues to present himself as the competent managerial candidate that he is, he will win in November.
