Thank-you everyone. I hope I get a response from one of them...I sent it to two editors, and the religion writer. So we will see. First time I have done something like this. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Good leter. Send it. Sounds like a sincere letter to me. They should print it as they have no dog in this fight. It's just an informative letter for the public.

You might want to call the religious writer. See if they received your letter....... if they will run it without your name. Maybe meet for coffee or do a telephone interview.

...unfortunately, the only reply I got was an auto generated 'out of office'. Not too surprised though. I still sent another one to them with an update on the lawsuit. oh well...not like I expected them to write a scathing article during DC time.

UPDATE!!!
I finally got a reply from the paper I sent the email to. (see original copy at top of thread) After, not hearing anything for a week and a half, then seeing the "fluff" article I knew they would write...I was frustrated so I sent a few more. Here is the reply I just got:
The story you are talking about is extremely difficult to do without
people willing to come forward and allowing their names to be used.
Are their any names and cell phone numbers for current Witnesses and
ex-Witnesses you can provide me?
There haven't been protests outside the Dome over shunning of
ex-members for several years. Will there be any protests this year?
