mrs Jones ms Conti's victory is absolutely awesome. But I ask myself how many more there are like her and who are in the process of working up the courage to take on the WTS. I believe there are many more.
What is with abusive atheists?

Tec, I think you would make a good ambassador.

I got called a bitch twice by the same person folks keep referring to but won't mention the person's name. Did I feel victimized by the calling out if my name? Nope. Thought it was hilarious. Did i return in kind? Nope. This person already showed their arse, no reason for me to show mine. What I did find interesting is this person was not chastised by the folks who continually rallied behind this person because it was conveniently missed. Didn't see the foul language flung, won't directly comment on it. That's cool. Let's me know where I stand with certain folks, that's cool too. I go from there.
Notice I said nothing about this believer/atheist crap.

Atheists too.

I have to admit that I have mostly not read the posts of the person you are talking about Mrs. Jones.

It doesn't really matter FHN. Simon saw it, they got booted, karma's a bitch.

Tec, I just read the back pages of this thread that I missed. I believe the reason the sensitive subject was dropped was because OGDude realized his comments and motives on the subject were mostly misunderstood. And that likely goes for anyone else commenting similarly on the subject. When you see that a well made point is misunderstood and brushed aside, it doesn't make sense to continue to try to discuss it. OGD made some very good, very valid points in a polite, eloquent way. I hope he will continue to post here. His sage advice was meant for us all. He, like you, is a diplomat.

LOL----well I was referring to you FHN, not OGD. But good enough.

Both sides have been known to get their shots in, whether by direct insult or by subtle inference.
The theist/atheist discussions have always been an integral part of this board and aren't going away. There will always be friction between the camps.
I believe it's a good thing that these discussions happen and that people say what they will. At least it's honest talk. When you realize it's not personal unless you want it to be, it ain't a big deal.

Tec - choosing to be a slave is to be a victim. If you don't understand this I'm stuck since this isn't a puzzling deep idea.
I hate how a requirement of being religious is to have to say things that are plainly wrong and try and make a sophisticated clever comment to wiggle around it. This is what comes of arguing over myths.
