yes, Cedars....Its an abosolute crime that this had to come down to this before the attention of how to better protect children becomes the main concern. JW's are not the only one feeling the "sting" right now.

And right OUTLAW.....Business as usual, BUT, they know there is a huge problem they can no longer ignore. And as I said to Cedars, it's not just the JW's that are dealing with this issue.

notjustyet: I would think that if they took the cash and deposited it into a account that the courts had control over, then this hold on selling property would be lifted.

That would make sense if they have enough cash on hand to fund that account and pay their regular day to day expenses. My impression is that they have plenty of real estate and other physical assets, but not much extra cash in the bank. Their austerity moves suggest this is the case: closing some branches, selling off expensive Brooklyn real estate and moving to a less expensive part of the state, etc. Those are signs of limited cash flow. (In other words, you pay the electric bill with dollars, not real estate holdings).

    Good Morning Purps!..

Of course your right..The Problem is..

Even if the WBT$ loses, they will White Wash the Whole Affair..

JW Children will be Safer because the WBT$ will be forced to change their policys but..

The average JW won`t know why..

It will simply be New Light and further proof the WBT$ is Gods Organization..

    The Good News is..

There are many more of these cases coming..

Pedophiles in the WBT$ is going to be in the News for along time to come..

How many multi million dollar Law suits can the WBT$ take?..

    Eventually..

It`s going to Bleed the WBT$ Dry of Cash..

    .......................... ...OUTLAW

A question for BOTR: My twin bro. Is a successfully faded jw. He's also an attorney. He says he can't answer this question because he doesnt know for sure.
Here's the question: Did the congregation effectively waive priest-pentinant (sic) privilege by giving names to the society and describing details when asking how to proceed?

The WTBTS is in a tough position........I am almost starting to think there is a god out there...........

We know they have already paid millions to settle out of court with other child molestation lawsuits. So I think they will settle for 10 or 12 million quickly. Damage control will be the important issue for them as well as getting back to their real business...... building and selling real estate. If they settle and make sure no one can give interviews etc. this will go away. The true believers will stick with them claiming that the society didn't molest that girl If in fact she was molested it was a pedophile who did.

If they fight it for the next two or so years each new statement or outburst or interview will drag the society back over those hot coals. And in all probability other cases will start coming forward. This is not a good time to be seen as protecting or abetting pedophiles. The JW'S have already been mentioned in the same company as the Catholic church's on going scandals, Sandusky and Penn State and one or two other current investigations.

There are still a lot of sexually molested JW children out there, a lot of pissed off families and a lot of very hungry attorneys.

Another problem is that those JW's that see this case as a real failing of the congregation, the elders and the society itself may be stumbled right out of the 'truth'.

Others who really desire to leave without being DF or DA may find that this is the door way out. What does an elder or JC say to someone who maintains that they can't accept what happened in this case. I expect smart fader's to line up and make an 'open' exit one accomplished in all good conscience.

Can they DF you if you feel strongly that an injustice was done and until it's set right (vague) you need to regroup emotionally?

Cedars I think you have a good point here. They may have well noted it on JW.org or JW medi to save face and knows damn well they will drop the appeal. But at the same time, they do have to save face. Only time will tell. I'm sure the are making deals with God or Satan at this very moment "from now on we will be good little JW's. But it's too late, either way it will take years for damage control. Many of us are posting on forums and bringing up other issues for JW's to also think about. UN, etc.....which has been quite successful....true! It was already noted by one very upset JW that all their hard earned money is being used by the WTS for this case.....and you (Cedars) brought that very fact up in your vid. then we bring up all the other out of court cases they don't know about. Many are backing down because we have proof and they can't defend with their own proof.

BOR you are pounding away at a mute matter. Clergy rite does not apply here, if there is more then one person during confession other then ONE clergy member and confessor it will not hold up, or a clergy filled a form and sent it to an other body of individuals, or did not state they are excercising their rite during a confession, it does and will not hold up in a court of law. This is confirmed and fact.
