Here in the SF Bay Area it's a non-stop party Saturday & Sunday.
Unfortunately, my wife and I are booked up, but our straight (irrelevant piece of info) teen-age son will be attending with friends.

BTW, the thread title should be "Anyone going to a Pride Parade this summer?" but apparently since I blank-posted, I can't edit it. (Grrrr.)
Here's a link to Pride events all over the world.

I would love to be in the city of my birth for that big party. Now I'm homesick. I would play a few Eurasure and Bronski Beat songs but that might be too painful (those songs remind me of SF and the east bay when I went to school and worked there. A lot of my friends were gay.). Good times.
I wish we had a rainbow emoticon.

Ours is on July 28th, and yes, I will be there to support my LGBT brothers and sisters!

I was single, "weak" JW in the Bay Area during the mid-80's. I wonder if we were ever at the same places?

Open Mind - thanks for posting this. I hope your son has a great time.
I'm gay. I'm not a "gay scene" kind of guy though. I don't go to gay pubs, bars, etc. Not that I have anything against it at all, but my life centers around my family. I have young children so we'll be at home. Maybe when they are teenagers we can go. I really don't get any time away which I'm not complaining about at all.
But before having a family, I did go to Pride in SF, LA, Long Beach, Houston, NYC, Amsterdam, etc. Usually I went because friends were going and it was something to do. But it was fun. I do have to say that Amsterdam Pride was my favorite. The extremely hot motorcycle cops were there with their bikes, and would pose for pics with their arms around anyone who wanted to sit on their bikes.

OMG OM I love that Erasure song. I saw them in concert in Los Angeles years ago. Reminds me of my university days. I was into strictly French music but my friends loved Erasure and played their songs all the time.

I would LOVE to go to Amsterdam Pride Week, or San Fran, for that matter!
Anyone who will be in NS during Pride Week, and wants to meet up --- I'm there. :))
