I have always wanted to go to NS, tal. Dave Carrol is from NS and I'm a big fan of his work, so I'd love to see his band live someday.

PS. For anyone who is an exJW, straight, and not homophobic -- it can be uncomfortable, coming from that, dare I say, culture (?), to tell new acquaintances how you feel when they ask, or maybe you will get hit on and don't know what to say!

Here's a great line someone told me years ago - it's not offensive, and worked for me.

"I am straight, but not narrow."

laverite: "I'm gay. I'm not a "gay scene" kind of guy though."

So I'm guessing you weren't one of these folks?

laverite - I did not know him! I googled his site, and will check out his work. If you come to NS, let me know! I may not post much in the future, but will always check my PMs.

btw, I didn't realize what your name meant, until I saw it spelled with an accent a couple of weeks ago. Now, I get it, and liking it. Francophone, non?

OMG!! OM, totally NOT one of those people though I send them my love. I appear totally conservative but I am liberal in my politics. LOL. I would fight for THEIR right to party though.

tal - I like that. cantleave - I wish I were there with you in July. Love the UK.

cantleave --- good for you! WOW, world gay pride day --- coool!

Om - that was given to me by Rosie, a gay friend, many years ago. I was telling her that growing up JW, I didn't know how to express how I felt, and she suggested that line. It was also the 80s, when there was still a lot of rampant homophobia in the RW. So, all credit must go to her.

    Excellent advice.

cantleave: " world pride in London on the 7th July!"

    Sounds like quite the party!
