Is that per capita or gross numbers? California is the most populous state in the US. According to the Brady ranking system that you mentioned Louisiana had 8.60 murders per 100,000, Oklahoma 3.43, and Arizona 3.32 higher than California (3.21) and that doesn't count a lot of states.

I was only touching on one topic where blacks and white statistically are using an illegal drug equally or close to equally. In this case marijuana. However, the arrest for the offense is disproportionate.
