We had an elder at School who confessed to EVERYBODY that's he is a chronic masturbater and was that way even in Bethel. He felt he wasn't qualified. The CO and instructor talked to him and he's still an elder. Funny, the guy always rubbed me the wrong way!

Service Overseer Elder hadn't been out that way for years. Just was submitting fake invoices for milage. He got fired and reported to the CO but nothing was ever done about it and the brother still serves as an Elder in good standing.
Given the fact that I had seen he truth about the "truth" and already started my fade when I was appointed as an elder, if the holy spirit was doing its job I should not have been appointed.
I knew a MS who had a wife that made a porno with another brother and his wife. It was leaked and kids were watching it. I think she was a pioneer or maybe just an auxillary at the time. She was not DF'd ( not that I really wanted her to be ) and he was not removed. They just moved. It was just odd . . . . your wife could make a porno and you could remain a servant.
Perhaps it's just personal experience, but I believe these are the kind of examples that are undermining the Organization more than anything else! When the R&F become aware that these kind of people get appointed and remain in position, it becomes very evident that there is NO Holy Spirit involved in such appointments. Especially when it affects them personally. All of a sudden, a die-hard JW begins to doubt the direction of Holy Spirit upon the Organization as a whole. Then they think "well, if this is wrong . . . . what else is wrong?" Once they start digging around, you know how easy it is to learn TTATT and the house of cards comes tumbling down.
But WTS cannot remove them all, or there would be NO ONE willing to serve lord it over the flock.

I used to laugh when elders who'd drive fully loaded BMW's/Mercs etc, big house, expensive suits, holidaying 3 times a year and would get on the platform and give talks about the "snares of materialism"

In one congregation I attended, alcohol was kind. Man every weekend it was a party. We had two CO's try and break it up but the elders in this congregation all covered each other
