How are "hateful" atheists helping struggling witnesses on JWN or society in general?

Hateful atheists, hateful statements , hateful anything is, to the xian, Satanic.

Not necessarily true. That's not what someone is refering to when using the word "hate". They are not naturally inferring that the person is of Satan.

When I use the word "hate", which I rarely do because it IS such a strong word, I am refering to the lack of love in dealing with another. I'm not thinking "They are not like Jesus". I am thinking in a secular moral way. When I think of "hate" I think of the Westboro Baptists. I think of terrorism. I think of white supremecy.

A hateful atheist is one that would say "We need to get rid of anyone that believes in God." They make it their mission to insult and ridicule everyone that has not reached those same conclusions. The same is true of hateful Christians.

I read a church sign once that said, "God prefers loving atheists over hateful Christians".

Seeing the original question as not about atheism but about hateful atheists
and having posted about the harm and murder they can they cause, I'll add they
    may misinform.

Atheism is rejection of belief in god or gods. It may involve rationalism but
not necessarily. People who don't believe in God may believe any number of other
things--astrology, prejudices about those different than them (in this case,
those of faith), etc.--and, like those of any big group, be better or worse at
getting the facts right. And those of liberal/progressive/reform faith may be
rational in keeping up with the known things God is possible beyond and under-
    stand their faith as such.

One variation on atheist misinformation that may be called hateful in that it's
'centric and intolerant may arise from leaving a version of a fundamentalist lit-
eralist religion like the JWs, or even some proselytizing by popular atheists
like Dawkins, etc., is the same stance as the fundamentalist literalist. It's
the forced choice of fundamentalist literalist or nothing, even dubious editing
    to suit the case.

Even college comparative religion courses teach there are orthodox, conserva-
tive, liberal, progressive, and reform versions of Abrahamic religions, and a
routine search on Google shows the same, and it's like nobody told them. Faith
may be understood as a hope for a possible God beyond the known things and it's
like nobody told the prove is/prove isn't people that, either.

The fundamentalist or nothing offer is rejected by those of other kinds of
faith. I won't support every such rebuttal regarding every issue, I'd have to
look at how it's done and decide, but basically it's appropriate and easily done.

Sab - please at least make an effort to understand what Qcmr is saying instead of indulging in childish point-scoring.

Christ Alone - read your last sentence then have a look at what I said. You made your response about God v Satan.

Are you rejecting God? Yeah. But why should that make me angry?

That was my point. You will end up thinking I reject a god. I didn't say it had to make you angry--I simply said that it is at the core. You denied it, then you said it.

And please don't make comments like it's so "sad" I have the kinds of friends I have. That's no cool. I speak of friends, but this could also apply to the bus driver, co-workers, teachers, doctors---whatever. Don't try to tell me that my experience is skewed, because you see, I was a believer much longer than I was a non-believer, so I saw first hand how believers viewed atheists. There are a few enlightened individuals, sure, and maybe entire areas that are more enlightened, but don't say you're sorry about my friends and pretend it is their special weakness. It goes on everywhere.

    Define predatory!

    Define it twice.

    Once for a believer

    Again for an atheist.

Being an emotional predator means you have something to gain by the destruction of the feelings of another. For instance a believer will claim someone is going to burn forever in hell because they are having too much sex outside of marriage. This could be because they actually WANT to have a ton of sex and are jealous of people who do. Maybe they are trapped in a loveless marriage themselves. Dooming them to hell within their religious ideology yields something for themselves at the cost of the feelings of another. Predator/Prey.

The same can easily happen with a non believer. They will claim that someone is intellectually dishonest because they believe something without evidence that is reproducible. If someone says they saw a fairy that doesn't mean they can summon that experience for someone else. It's simply something that should be taken at face value. However, some non believers will pursue this believer who decides to tell others about their experience, as if it were real because it was to them. The unbeliever might lash out at the believer because they believe they are perpetuating a lie, but that's just as valid as believing in a fairy one has seen with their own eyes, not more. When the unbeliever insists on public ridicule they yield something for themselves at the cost of the feelings of another. Predator/Prey.

SAb - Qcmbr made a very thoughful post that you would benefit from reflecting on.

Instead you responded with a childish remark that indicated you have completely missed the point.

How will we ever understand each other's position if nobody ever really listens?
