About what one thing do you find yourself being a real SNOB?

  Haha, well played. Let's say that I'm a snob about research, logic, and education on social issues - probably why I work in social justice/human rights. Being forced to turn down a college scholarship because I was a JW, and loving to read and research ever since I was a child, has turned me into something of an autodidact. So yeah, I'm very much a proponent of education, or self-education, and being well-informed.

  If that's being an intellectual snob, I'm proud to be a snob. I never want to be the kind of person who can't articulate and support her position on an issue, or attacks the the tone of an argument or the person making it rather than the content. I grew up surrounded by those kind of people and the circular, emotion-based "logic" made my life hell.

  Conversation and socializing.

  My favorite saying..."Be Interesting and Show Interest." If you cannot do both, J.C. at least do one - otherwise do not waste my time.

  Im a snob when it comes to:

  1.Motorcycles, Motorcycle racing, riding motorcycles

  2. Marijuana

  Driving. For me it is an art. Not a point a to b chore.

  I should mention that in being snobby about clothing and shoes one does not have to spend a great deal of money. Thrift stores, eBay, and other places are Awsome! Part of the fun is the find. I never spend more than $25-30 on an outfit. That's why I find it awful that others don't put forth any effort to wear nicer things. A well made Italian shoe is heaven. A shame to miss out on that experience. Or a good fitting, well cut garment.

  English. I spent 30 yrs in a tyrannically french province. Left that and only bother w english. It needs to be canadian accent, too. When some one is warbling on in a hard to follow funny accent, i tune out.

  Magwitch, I have to say I'm not the greatest conversation starter around people I don't know. Let's just say I have an odd personality and an odd sense of humor. People tell me I take things a little bit to the extreme sometimes but they like that about me. However, once the conversation gets going, I really get to talking. My dad was the same way. I do hate when I try to engage people in conversation and they do not hold their end of the bargain.

  As regards opera, I like the sound, especially when I'm relaxing but I have never been to the opera.

  Malt whiskey over blended, Armagnac over Cognac.

  Battered repaired hand made leather shoes over rubber soles, I’ve got some I have been keeping going for 40 years. They just get more and more character. Just get 'em out and polish 'em, (you could try that wth the shoes)
