I think I should not have used the category of WINE as that is more of a snobby choice.
I think favorite DRINK is a better category.
I would revise by saying:
DRINK: DR.PEPPER

We need a picture of that Maserati engine actually under the hood, Terry.
I would assume he meant a Maserati straight six (like the Jaguar engine in the E) as Maser never made a road V-12?
I have no idea who the guy is, (what films did he make?) but I will post this on the historical British section of FChat to see if anybody knows.
BTW - I see that I skipped over the favorite wine category on my list:
OK - Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial Rose

Excellent taste, Talesin.
On the car, if you mean the two-seater (the only one with a hardtop/softop) that was the 280 SL. Get the manual 4-speed, I can personally tell you that is one of the best-shifting manual 4-speeds ever made (but the manual is rather rare).
James, thanks! I was gonna say the 280 SL, but when I looked it up online, found that other number! I don't trust my memory too much nowadays. It's been the 'one' since I was 12 years old - my friend's mother had a new one. I think I would look quite good behind the wheel. VROOOOOOM!
EDIT: Standard Tranny for sure! Automatic = steering; Standard = driving :P
There was a 280 CE too, but that was a 4-seater hardtop with no convertible top.
Just by chance, I was thinking about getting one of these to keep at our vacation cabin in Colorado - automatic, unfortunately, so that Mai could also drive it. Silver with black interior, I think...
Now if we could only solve the mystery of Terry's Jaguar-Maserati.
