Tammy you often seem to answer questions I never asked instead of addressing the specific points I actually made.
Survey: Who here is an atheist? Who here still believes in God?

atrapado - I actually have a theory that if god does exist he is a 12 year old boy with ADHD. All the data fits perfectly.

Okay, read it.
The rational answer is that he doesn't exist - can you suggest another?
I can.
A) Believing he exists doesn't mean anything if you don't know who He is. So which God did the healing? He gave us His son to know Him, he has also given us a few universal understandings... like the golden rule. Believing in Him means nothing if you don't follow His teachings. But a person can see the merit in following the teachings of Christ, even if you don't believe that He is the Son of God, or that He is the image of God.
B) That might do something for you, but it will be rejected by millions of other people.
C) Such 'proof' before Christ returns to gather his own, would probably result in some of those and other innocents dying in some holy war to establish which God was the true God, now that we know there IS a God.
D) We are meant to be learning to walk by faith, and not by sight, and that would be setting us right back to walking only by sight... and learning nothing.

Tammy learning nothing you say? I would argue that religion caused and extended the dark ages. Believing in Christ and the bible has no more merits than believing in ancient aliens. Some of those ancient alien theories could hold more truth.

Tec, you have a pm.

Nihilist. And a trinitarian atheist. I refuse to give any attention to a unitarian god.

Tammy - You paint a picture of a woefully impotent god.

rather be in hades
The evidence and understanding (and Christ most importantly) in my life show me that it IS true.
how do you know this is not coincidence, hard work, persevearance, or some combination of those and more?
Hades, things we once thought not to exist because we had no 'evidence' for them, are now known TO exist. Because our tools caught up with what is actually there. Not our physical senses, but our tools that we make to enhance our senses.
But not being able to measure them did not mean that they did not exist.
do you have any examples of this?

Yes well, religion and God... not the same thing. Bible and God... also not the same thing.
Christ and God, however... while not the same person; One is the Image and Truth of God.
So I wouldn't argue with you about religion.
You paint a picture of a woefully impotent god.
Or of one who grants freedom, allowing us to live and to learn, without forcing himself upon us.

I know. And there is too much to be coincidence. Though I am sure that I could not convince someone who does not have faith, and neither do i feel a need to attempt to convince someone of anything.
do you have any examples of this?
Germs? Other solar systems? DNA? Cells? Just to give a brief example. All things we cannot see without a tool to help us see it, and because of which, did not know even existed.
