" Regaurding 1914 they are not prophesying " ?????????????????? What in the heck did the WTS do contrary to what Jesus said

"Concerning that day and hour nobody knows "???????? The WTS calculated the seven times and came to a false conclusion and

Jesus made the WTS out to be LIARS !!!!!!!

" Dates mark the time in which events occur. Bible chronology also pinpointed in advance the time when certain important events in the fullfillment of God's purpose would take place."__________Reasoning from the Scripures book page 93

    LIKE

" Before the last members of the generation that was alive in 1914 will have passed off the scene, all things foretold will occur, including the great tribulation."_________Reasoning from the scriptures book page 97

Just like Hananiah the false prohet, the WTS taught people to believe in a falsehood, and just like Hananiah they will be destroyed

I didnt really notice any substantiated rebuttals to what I said. There are a few cavillers out there, but the general consensus seems to be this should not be a stumbling matter. I'm satisfied with that. But I will still go thru and reply to every objection...no matter its marginal importance.

But what would happen if we composed a list of every scientific and medical misconception, error, or mistake ever made? Such a list would be immensely long, undoubtedly far longer than every error contained in the Watchtower publications

So you are comparing Watchtower Bible interpretation with the WHOLE of the scientific community? That's pure balderdash as it's a gross false comparison. The main difference between the WT and Science is that Science doesn't look to predict Bible prophecy and it doesn't set out to accurately explain the relationship God has with individuals. It also doesn't claim divine command and then make mistakes. It actually disclaims beforehand that errors can and WILL be made and that the system has a way of weeding them out over time. How are errors weeded out of the Watchtower? The simple answer is they generally aren't. The errors are just replaced with new ideas and no recompense is given to the people who peddled a lie for so long. Not so much as a word of condolence. The lies are left in the archive of the Watchtower to make them look bad to the public while they erase the memories of the falsifications in their members minds. If you ask a JW about the 1975 debacle the chances are they will not even know what you talking about or show a flawed understanding of their own history.

So, the answer is YES you SHOULD be stumbled by Watchtower errors because they are made by a group who claims divine authority. You SHOULD be stumbled by a group who ignores the archeology community when they don't line up with their timelines, but use them as an authority when they do. The secular community makes no claim of divine authority and therefore the two groups cannot be rightly compared as you are doing. The whole world needs to divorce from the Watchtower, they have waited patiently for them to make the needed ethical changes to their doctrine and policies, but the Watchtower have stubbornly dug their heels into the groud. There really is no other option but to cut the rope and let them plunge into a bottomless chasm never to be heard from again.

Personally, I'm not "stumbled' by the errors. I'm HAPPY that Watchtower errors are so obvious. There's NO question that the Watchtower typically is WRONG. So thank you for everything you publish, Watchtower and its proponents. You are doing a wonderful service to mankind!!!

Reflecting upon the WTS. past doctrines such as condemning vaccinations, organ transplants and blood transfusions which caused many

needless deaths and harm to people, in your interpretation those shouldn't be a stumbling matter ?

Well then Ethos your certainly one apathetic uncompassionate consuming asshole !

Sounds like your more love with attaining the power of god rather than expressing human compassion and sincerity.

I'm not stumbled by the errors. It's human to make errors. What I have against it is that these errors were supposed to have come from Jehovah. We were supposed to accept them without question. When the errors are corrected it is supposed to be 'new light'.

Why should we accept errors when we can see them as such? Why aren't we allowed to question them? I am not an apostate, I'm still an active JW but I come here because I cannot express my doubts or concerns with my friends. If I do I will be marked and watched and if I don't keep silent I could be disfellowshipped and lose my family.

Do you think this is acceptable?

    Stumble

    1. a. To miss one's step in walking or running; trip and almost fall. b. To proceed unsteadily or falteringly; flounder. See Synonyms at blunder. c. To act or speak falteringly or clumsily.

Yes, the mistakes cause all JW's to stumble. Note the definitions. JWs do not proceed steadily or unfalteringly. JWs do not speak unfalteringly. And 'anyone with half a logical mind' can see the clumsiness of many of the changes over the years. We have built our lives around these mistakes. Promises were made and broken. If indeed the writings in the publications are just surmises, as claimed, then why should anyone's life be so completely ruined when they do not agree. Luke 17:1,2: " Then he said to his disciples: “It is unavoidable that causes for stumbling should come. Nevertheless, woe to the one through whom they come! 2 It would be of more advantage to him if a millstone were suspended from his neck and he were thrown into the sea than for him to stumble one of these little ones."
