Thanks. everything is cool.
I will take to heart what you said about staying off of BAC discussions. It is a touchy subject to me. I will pray for strength.

4 pagesin and no one has thought to ask JHat.
mormonism has a similar silly story ( guy beheads a drunk then dresses in his clothes and impersonatrs him) Obviously fakestory that doesnt match reality. Ditto the sword slashing apostle. Why are we sidetracking into weapon types and cultural likelehood of an Olive Mount ghetto robberband ? The really silly partis the assumption anyone could find an ear in the dark.also if JarHat had just interceded for mankind and paid the price for all sin ( one interpretation of Gethsemane) what is he doing walking never mind where did he get the mana powerup to start healing again. If virtue was sucked out of him in his magical blood transfusion when healing the bleeding womanyoud think JC was a veritable spiritual raisin at this point but no hes larking around with plastic surgery.
Utterly crazy story, utterly made up by bible writers and clear contradictory evidence showing a lack of consistent narrative between various mendacious storytellers.
apols, train , mobile, sneezing and fat fingers.
Well, at least it's an interesting enough topic to warrant your interest... and participation... dear Q (peace!). So, thanks for joining us, even if it is after the best part is over: better late than never... some say.

So many times I have read passages with others and observed how they included/excluded words, skipped over entire phrases, etc. So I always ask the one reading to do so OUT LOUD, so that perhaps they can HEAR what they are "reading" in their minds (or I can and ask them to re-read it). So many times, they go, "Wait! It DOESN'T say that, does it? It says...!" And then all of a sudden they have entirely new understanding.
Yes. Reading out loud can catch a lot of things you didn't realize were there. If anyone has ever edited their own work (and so you KNOW what you wrote), you always find things that you didn't even mean to have put there. Our eyes deceive us, according to what our brain expects to find. Listening and hearing are better tools.

Slimey Ag slimey.

Because Jerusalem, The Mount of Olives, the Romans, the Jews, Zealots, Sicarii, Tiberius, James the Just, Pilate, Herod the Tetrarch, etc. were all real and the temptation to discuss plausibility is correspondingly stronger than a story where the wheels don't make any contact with the road at all.
--Sorry, couldn't resist.
fair enough TD :) I dont know anything about Jerusalems neighbourhood back then but according to the bible they seemed a tough crowd to please, youd think the odd resurrected corpse , on demand weather control and unlimited food replication would have been enough for the skeptics. They were smarter back then. I guess our brains are getting smaller now because of the ipod shuffle which explains the vast numbers of believers who dont need proof of the kind JHat favoured but are satisfied with fuzzy feelings :) Those rebellious pre christians with their flashy sword skills!
Snarky, dear Q... snarky. And slime can be wiped off... but snark? Whole 'nuther "cleaning" process, there, luv. May require blood...
