some disagreements have deep significance and keep coming back and this imo is the wonderful thing about a thread like this because we find there are no easy answers but the disagreements address some of the deepest anxieties/problems known to humans

My guess is that when he tries to register the username hellpuppy looks like someone who would stir up trouble... which couldn't be further from the truth. ;)
But he's been muzzled because I prefer not to have people post under my name. If he gets himself an approved account of his own he is quite welcome to join in the discussion. ;)

However, please stop summerizing my main points to another effect than they was written. If you had 40 years experience with the language that should not be very hard to do. What I pointed out was the contradiction between these two statements:

Having just come from taking part in a wearisome thread elsewhere I've withdrawn, as once again negative an destructive voices join in in what is a senseless and one sided discussion, one sided because atheists there seem to want only to pick and break down. They seem incapable of actually listening to or reading what anyone else is saying.
The last few days I have felt myself opporessed by all the negativity that seeps in over there, no matter how one tries to avoid the threads that seem likely to contain that sort of atmosphere. Long, long ago I learned that anger is negative and destructive, and ultimately dark, and that the best way to deal with such an environment is to avoid it.
See how it works? one quote, you point out we shouldnt divide people into us vs them. The other quote, you are doing exactly that. And while we are at the topic - there are only a very few (me included) who could be the "negative and destructive voices" who are "incapable of actually listening", who make the negativity seep and opporess (haha!). Thats a division into us vs. them. It might be me, it might be new chapter, it might be QCMBR, who knows?
And for christ sake, at least own up to actually doing it instead of giving grammar lessons.
