perfect1 are you calling God a psychopath? I don't see him showing any empathy.
So the creator made humans that can show empathy yet he fails to do so himself? Makes no sense to me.

Sure God can be a psychopath.
Ok with me.
'Satanus, who is to say that empathy is a good thing?'
Jesus' golden rule is basically that.
'Is not vengeance and retribution a natural reaction to another action?'
Yes, of course. But it overrides empathy.
'If everything is chemical, then everything is equally valid, be it psychopathy or empathy.'
Vengence is chemical. Psychopathy is a lack of empathy. A psychopath is unable to feel what his victim feels. He is lacking, in that sense. His brain does not have that organic construct. A true psychopath cannot be cured.
Validity stems from empathy, as it wieghs what is the most beneficial for all concerned. It is based on a concensus, where as empathy comes from the individual.

Three questions.
Are you doing the right thing out of fear of punishment?
Are you doing the right thing because you want to go to heaven?
Do you do the right thing out of love for humanity?
If everything is chemical, then everything is equally valid, be it psychopathy or empathy.
No so. Evolution tends to reward that which leads to reproductive success. Empathy leads to reproductive success in mammals.
Psychopaths need religion.

You are confusing evolution with natural selection. Natural selection leads to reproductive success in mammals.

Natural selection is part of evolution. You are confused.
Natural selection is part of evolution. You are confused.
Correction: natural selection is part of evolution but not exclusive to evolution.
