cofty wow everytime i say i dont know something im uneducated and when a scientist say something they dont know there humble. wow

You would only be uneducated if you don't know what is knowable at the moment. Some things are unknowable at the moment, and that's when scientists are humble enough to say so, and then continue the search for answers. Others claim we can't know things that we can and do know, but they won't reach out for that knowledge or don't know it is there. This is where the uneducated idea comes in. It's specific though. It doesn't mean overall, but for instance, when someone debates against evolution, and it becomes clear they don't grasp the concepts of evolution or are misrepresenting them, then it is evident they are uneducated in this area.

new chapter: i understand that, i know you and cofty enough now that i would not think it was meant as im an idoit, but my point was we as believers do not claim to have all the answers, rather we look to the one whom we believe has all the answers, i am able to look at creation as pt said and gleem theres a creator some may not see that. but i think me not have answers in no ways mean i dont search for more knowledge,if that were the case i would not be taking wrath from wifey.

So why haven't you spent the last few years studying evolution? Are you willing to put that right?

A skeptic or atheist is governed by two main principles

Those are not the same things. It's incorrect to state that they share the same principles, or that all of of either group share the same princicples.

Jgnat *** person of reason can imagine the great clockworks ***

Yes, I was totally fascinated and blown away by Stephen Hawkings video on how gravity may have started time as we know it. However, I'm looking at great scientist discovering great forces in the universe and nature. However, they are just discovering them, they don't explain to me where they came from, other than the big four forces coming from the one at the Big bang.

Good talking with you, at least you are well educated and civil. ;)

Likewise, pterist. I do not challenge a person of faith, in taking what they believe...on faith. I will challenge attempts to use reason to justify their faith. Especially if they suggest that others should believe as they do.

P.S. nice to see you posting, New Chapter.

jgnat - that is such an important point.

If only beleivers would tread that fine line more carefully. I have yet to have a discussion where science and reason wasn't eventually pressed into service to disguise a faith-based position.

I don't know how many people there are on earth who never meet another person and truly fall in love with them.

It happened to me. It was like being on narcotics.

But, I do know you can't make somebody fall in love. You probably can't make yourself fall in love either.

BELIEF in god is the same process. It is a natural process. I say it is natural because all through history humans kept doing it.

I could sit and tell you a thousand wonderful things about a lady or a gentleman and tell you that this person was "VERY LOVABLE", but that

would not make you love them. It might make you skeptical. It might make you curious. But, you certainly wouldn't fall in love.

Now imagine never getting to meet this "most wonderful" candidate......how difficult would it be to fall in love?

I know it is possible. People do "meet" through online e-mails and phone calls and get a sense of romance.

Maybe they even fall in love with the idea of falling in love.

But, reasonably speaking--only somebody who is really immature and doesn't have much of a life going for them is going to go for this.

It would be rather immature of you to become convinced by something somebody says to you.

If God is so important to you and you insist on tying the knot---well, just go out and do it yourself why don't you?

Otherwise, forget it. It may happen and it may not.

The more effort you create the worse it gets.

    Relax and enjoy your life.
