Irrelevant to this discussion. You have to take into consideration that James letter was to an early christian congregation. All of whom were Jewish converts. James was telling them not to be self righteous because some were saying that they perfectly kept all 600 or so points of the law. He was simply trying to get them to not be self righteous and to get them to adjust their thinking..
