Another rumor about changes in Watchtower and Awake

  I think it makes every sense, from an administration viewpoint, to have a magazine for in-house consumption (Watchtower) and another one for public distribution. I thought about this years ago, and if it becomes reality, I wouldn't be surprised at all. The current distinction between a more religious-oriented public edition of the "Watchtower" and a more Readers' Digest-like "Awake" makes no sense anymore. The only advantage is to have two different front covers to choose from. They should blend them into one monthly edition with something like 40 pages and have both types of articles inside and have front covers that draw attention to different articles inside.

  Actually, thinking about it, the Kingdom Ministry should blend with the in-house Watchtower edition and we would have full circle restructuring of the publications.

  @Eustace- I believe the rumor is that it will be a 32 page magazine.

  @Smiddy and Erbie- LOL ---there was actually a time when I was such a good little girl-and never never said anything that would indicate I was running ahead of "mother". Those days are long gone.

  I remember this being mentioned here on JWN,when it came out about the number of pages being reduced. If it's true,they stole our idea,lol.

  What is happening to the Borg is what has happened to many other printing companies. They are slowing going digital and then they will go out of business altogether.

  I don't think the question is whether they will go to one magazine, but whether they'll re-brand the magazine as something other than "The Watchtower"

  Perhaps "End Times" magazine, or "Judgement Day"

  That wouldn't surprise me Splash. It is their favorite word at all the conventions when they are trying to drum up urgency.

  Well, that would resolve the "nested magazine" crisis, if they bound together the 2 16-page mini-mags into 1 dual-covered 32 page mag.

  u beat me to it Sir. I was thining the same, as Congs are probably increasing thier orders since dubs are to lazy to separate the mags before leaving them at laundramats and such.
