LoisLane looking for Superman
I never knew about TTATT until I read C of C, March 22, 2012. When I finished that, I was drowning. My daughter and I had no support system in place, besides each other. We had been lied to. I raised her as a JW true believer. I was wrong. The anguish, the tears, the wasted decades. I knew I couldn't go and report this corrupt Book Corp. to anyone I knew, because all my friends were JW's. We are taught worldly people are wicked and to be feared and to stay away from. So I eventually, ventured, onto this web site.
I have been on this Board for 6 1/2 months. Life gets lonely. Nobody knows me but I can be a lot of fun. This is like a nicotine patch. ( no I don't smoke lol) It replaces something, I was used to, but in a healthier way.
I was taught, like we all were, that apostates are the Bogey man . The real apostates are The Watch Tower Society and yes they are scary and evil and all should stay away from them!
I am heartened, when new ones come on. It truly is a major war being fought. The Society sucking in Innocents, (killing souls with lies and deceit for their own glorifacation ). Then the Innocents waking up and coming here. I like to post when a new one comes on board... Watch Tower Society 7 1/2 million minus 1 or 2 or 3 or 50 or 10,000 or 5,000,000. I want everyone to wake up and get out.
If somehow I can help a few or more, in my own little way, see TTATT, then hurray for them and hurray for me, and we each get 3 Gold Stars!
Just Lois

Thanks all. I have my own answer to this queston, which will appear on the blog when it's fully up. I was curious what others would say.

I have a lot of JW family members who wish I would lose interest, and the sooner the better.
They are not going to get their wish.

JW-ism wasn't a bad meal at a restaurant, it was the defining factor in my life since I was very young and remains the defining factor in relationships with my family and every single person I knew growing up. People like me simply can't be understood apart from the experience of the JWs; neither can we understand ourselves apart from it.

wha happened?
Not to sound melodramatic, but for some, it was a horrific experiance. The loss of trust, relatives, friends, or worse yet, a pedo victim. They are all here. The experiance doesn't go away but helping others does bring closure.

This is a unique place where a person can talk to others who have had the same experience because people who have not been there really don't understand. There's alot of serious conversation but also there is some humor and fun which is important. i also have a morbid curiosity I guess about what the wtbs is up to and always hope for it's demise.

I think I am more or less over the JW stuff. Jane and I arrange meet-ups and like to see who's coming in here from the UK to let them know what support is available, boards like this are great as far as they go, but they are no substitute for meeting up and rebuilding the lost social network many of us suffer.
