it was NOT Jan 1st 1914 it was well into 1914, It was like 1914 1/2 in June
that the war was declared.
It was later more nations became involved, it was progressive as all wars are.
How about 9/11 hasn't that date had a world wide impact ??
How about WW11 ? Or the invention of the telephone ? Or the Internet ? Or personal computers ?

It is one hundred years since 1914 so how is that prophesy working for you ?
They kept ON saying that until the mid-ninties and it was on every Awake magazine until about 1994.
They ALSO said in 1925 the Prophets of Old would be resurrected back to earth > see Millions Now Living Will Never Die pamphlet
of 1919. And the WT built a mansion in San Diego for the Prophets to live in.
Landmark to who? If you asked a current university student what was the most momentus event or year in the last 500 years, few if any would mention WW1 or 1914. They would probably mention events such as the industrial revolution, the invention of the car, the rise and fall of communism, WW2, the invention of the computer, internet or smart phone.
They also use bible dates. As when one died or was born to get timelines. The problem is you would have to assume every date is a whole year. Meaning Everyone one was born and lived in 12 month increments. The bible doesn't say so and so died at 70 years three months and seven days so it is impossible to come to any exact year using bible chronology. Which the watchtowers says it uses to come to 1914.

I think 1914 was a pretty important year. It marked the end of the first round of globalisation, ended historic kingdoms, heralded the decline of empires, and sparked a social revolution at home.

This is what most dubs don't know. The demonizing of the internet, the unavailability of older literature, the " new light " teaching, all these work in tandem to keep JW's ignorant of the facts. Once you realize that they never predicted anything, but merely re-interpreted any event they could and revised their history, you realize that there is nothing special about the WTBTS.
The WTBTS has a 100% failure rate. 1914 is all they have left. It's not even true and they know it. That is why they are tightening the chains around the sheeple.
1914 wasn't a landmark year. Yeah, O.K. World war 1 started but so did World War 2 in 1939. The WT Society MADE 1914 a " landmark " year to put forth their scammed interpretations of bible prophecy. In reality 1914 is just a year like all the other years in history. Each year comes and goes and it will be like that for eternity. Nothing else has ever been proven otherwise. Peace out, mr.
