You completely misunderstand the story, its not about a brother who kills another, its about how special Cain is. Cain means blacksmith who were considered demi gods because they turned raw material into metal which was extremely value back then. If you read the rest of the story, God actually says anyone who kills Cain will be punished 77 times worse etc. We dont see this aspect because many stories have names which have meaning that is almost never translated.
